Professional Bio

Ken Nelson is an associate at Davis Wright Tremaine, where he guides clients through Washington land use and development matters, including zoning, permitting, and compliance with the Growth Management Act and State Environmental Policy Act. His work includes securing project approvals, advising on the restoration and preservation of historic sites and King County landmarks, guiding projects that require environmental review, and representing clients in land use litigation.

Ken’s background includes broad corporate law experience as an associate at Perkins Coie, where he advised companies ranging from early-stage startups to public companies on corporate governance, strategic investments, and mergers and acquisitions.
