From Olympia to Redmond — Key Outcomes from the 2026 Legislative Session

Join OneRedmond on Thursday, May 7th, from 12:00–1:00 PM for a special Lunch & Learn featuring Kelly Ogilvie, OneRedmond’s advocacy consultant, who will provide a high-level update on the outcomes of the 2026 Washington State Legislative Session. This year’s session brought major policy discussions—from tax proposals and budget pressures to housing, permitting, and tourism. This update will focus on what came out of the session and what it means for our community.  Kelly will share key takeaways and highlight how OneRedmond advocated on behalf of our members, as well as how this work continues beyond the session through ongoing engagement with policymakers and regional partners.
 
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A, making this a valuable chance to ask questions and stay informed on the issues shaping Redmond’s future.
 
Kelly Ogilvie is OneRedmond’s advocacy consultant, supporting efforts to represent and advance the interests of Redmond’s business and nonprofit community at the state and regional level. He works closely with policymakers, partners, and stakeholders to track legislation, inform advocacy strategy, and ensure Redmond’s voice is heard on key issues, including taxation, housing, workforce, tourism, and economic development. Kelly provides timely insights and updates to help local organizations understand and respond to policy decisions impacting their work.
